Lastly, this USB method actually worked(!) to install 11.10 onto my MacBook Air 3,1 (late 2010 model). With the Macbook I managed to boot from an xternal USB CDROM this image: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Desktop (64-bit Mac) 1.4 GB Interesting enough the Ubuntu 17.04, Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 do not boot.

For MacBook Air owners, it is strongly advised to obtain a MacBook Air SuperDrive (no, a regular USB CD/DVD drive does not suffice) and then use that to install through the usual CD route (using the Mac iso for a 64 bit install). lubuntu Desktop 32-bit Magnet/Torrent lubuntu. Recommended: Use a Class 6 or Class 10 microSDHC card. For the Raspberry Pi 2 the microSDHC I/O throughput is a bottleneck. I tried boot-repair, but I got an error suggesting me to intall a 64 bits version.Īnyone can suggest me how to do to get my 32 bit installation booting ? At boot, I have my 2 icons (Mac OS / Ubuntu). After partitionning my HDD, I install refind, then ubuntu 23 bits. Result : I have a MAC blinking folder icon at boot, so I reinstalled Mac OS to try the second method.Ģ. Using a full hard drive erase, and simply install ubuntu as main OS.
